June 4th: Rally by the West Island Fence

Don’t Fence Me In (Ontario Place version)

Oh, give me land, lots of land under starry skies above,

(Crowd) Don’t fence me in.

Let me swim through the wide open waters that I love,

(Crowd) Don’t fence me in.

Let me be by myself in the evening breeze,

Listen to the murmur of the cedar trees,

Send me off forever but I ask you please,

(Crowd) Don’t fence me in.

Just turn me loose, let me straddle my old paddle

Underneath Ontario skies.

On my paddleboard, let me wander over yonder

Till I see the pine trees rise.

I want to swim to the ridge where the west island commences

Gaze at the moon till I lose my senses

I can’t stand padlocks and I can’t stand fences

(Crowd) Don’t fence me in.

Just turn me loose, let me straddle my old paddle

Underneath Ontario skies.

On my paddleboard, let me wander over yonder

Till I see the pine trees rise.

I want to swim to the ridge where the west island commences

Gaze at the moon till I lose my senses

I can’t stand padlocks and I can’t stand fences

(Crowd) Don’t fence me in.

(Crowd) Don’t fence me in.

(Crowd) Don’t fence me in. (Crowd) Don’t fence me in.
